Sunshine after the rain
There she was, back like a wounded bird longing for a familiar place to shelter herself. To shelther herself from insults from her man. To hide herself with shame from her wrongs. To embrace freedom from da failed relationship. I brought her to back ma side and safeguarded her. Reprimanded her like a mum losing her cool when da daughter brings back a bad result slip from school. I see regrets in her eyes and her willingness to change. Hoping for a return of a salvaged relationship. I have no heart to drown her anymore with ma crude remarks further.
It was ironic that we were supposed to cool down with ice-cream as da heated argument broke in. I was being made the middle man, the toughest job to handle. Tackle the wrong way and be deemed as a wrecker for all the life. There werent any options fer she is ma closest and she yearned for the hope I've seen in her eyes.
Now that it turned out to be a positive outcome, fortunately. She had her wounds mended and ready to bask into her sea of love that would be warranted if she succumbs to the changes and mark her ego to a lower notch. With that, I let her flew away from ma palms with a consoled smile on ma face. She is no longer da wounded bird I saw days ago. She is no longer the spoilt and pampered closest of mine. She is that sumone special's. She has da tremendous changes in her and that's what this relationship has taught her.
Come into ma sweet surrender and I'll home ya like a sweet child if ever things happen again. Once a younger sibling, forever a younger sibling.
